The event must go on! If you are “all systems go” for your next event you will want to take some safety measures into consideration before you send out the invites. Here are Amusement Master’s tips for event safety:
FIVE HEALTH SAFETY TIPS FOR EVENTS
1. Communicate regularly.
Communication is key during an event no matter the size so having a good plan to keep everyone informed is a good idea. Events take time to plan accordingly but events during a pandemic take more time and planning than usual, our staff is professional and will always do what they can to keep everyone informed.
Kelly Smink of Amusement Masters in Georgia, recommends developing a business continuity plan to “maintain the integrity” of an event. That means crafting detailed event communications that keep attendees regularly updated as well as posting an enforceable sick policy that prevents people showing signs of severe illness (like a respiratory condition or fever) from entering an event.
2. Signage, signage, signage.
On-site, it’s important to remind attendees with signage to wash hands regularly (with soap and water, and for at least 20 seconds), and to visit hand sanitizer stations regularly and to cover their mouths with their elbow, or tissues, when they sneeze (and then discard tissues right away, of course).
“We always have U Can Sanitize, Sanitizing Kiosks at events that communicate to attendees whether it’s “cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing,” or giving them some information about the event on the kiosks which allows for customizable messages.” says Smink who is a strategic partner of U Can Sanitize.
3. Consider a social distancing policy.
You will often see on the kiosks a message about social distancing for events of 6 feet and reminding attendees to wear masks when social distancing is not possible. By outlining this policy you are letting the attendees of the event know that you take their health and safety seriously.
4. Choosing the Right Products
Amusement Masters offers many event rental products that allow for safe social distancing. Some of our top rentals include: Virtual Reality Games, Inflatable Sports Games (single player) and Novelty items which include Photo Booths, Photo Mosaic Walls, Spot my Photo, Graffiti Wall, Custom Street Signs, Flip Books & Canvas Photos. 5. Have Many Stations Setup for Sanitizing Throughout the Event
Depending on how large of a space the event is being held at you will want to have multiple sanitizing kiosks strategically placed around the event for your guests. If you are serving food for instance you will want to have a kiosk near where the food will be served, another great place is in the entrance to the event so people know that everyone entering has had their hands sanitized. The entrance is also a great place to add a custom message to the LED board, perhaps you are welcoming your guests and giving them the instructions for your event or maybe it’s a map of where to find different attractions. A third place to have a sanitizing kiosk is near your event attractions so people can sanitize before and after each interaction.
Events sure look a lot different these days and we look forward to serving you for your next event in a safe and efficient manner!
